Patrick Mahomes made a strong comeback in the NFL, leading the Chiefs to a 31-10 victory over the struggling Broncos.
- Denver Broncos 10–31 Kansas City Chiefs

- Kenneth Walker III rushes for 173 yards in debut
Kenneth Walker III rushed for 173 yards and scored two touchdowns in his Chiefs debut, drawing some attention away from Patrick Mahomes as Kansas City beat the Denver Broncos 31-10 on Monday night.
Even after Mahomes took part in the entire offseason program and every training camp practice, the major concern was how his surgically repaired left knee would hold up exactly nine months after he tore his ACL. He alleviated many of those worries by capping the Chiefs' opening drive with a 15-yard touchdown run.
